4: Tower, New Brighton (1916)

Tower, New BrightonTower, New Brighton

The Tower was a common subject of picture postcards. This particular card also features a wave breaking over the promenade. The River Mersey is tidal up to Runcorn and its mouth so wide that it suffers a similar state to the sea.
