35: The Promenade, Egremont (1903)

The Promenade, EgremontThe Promenade, Egremont

A very early view of Egremont Promenade with New Brighton Tower in the background. The road to the left of the picture is Lincoln Drive. Mother Redcap's, a public house linked to the smuggling trade, stood at the corner of Lincoln Drive and the promenade (just out of the picture to the left). (I love the simplicity of the address on this card)
